Schema Progressive Dance Rock

Event Details

A 4-piece instrumental outfit native to Charleston, SC. Schema intertwines dance grooves with progressive-savvy songwriting that help to create an organic electro-synth vibe. Sexbruise?
Electronica, Erotica, EDM

Sexbruise? Is a satirical pop band from Charleston, SC that combines elements of improvisation, electronic music, poppy hooks, and audience participation to create an unforgettable live experience.

In spite of marketing themselves as a “fake” band, Sexbruise? developed a cult-like fanbase immediately following their first show in 2015, amassing thousands of social media followers seemingly overnight. With only three shows under their belt, Sexbruise? was named Electronic/Experimental Act of the Year by Charleston City Paper, an award they would win again in 2018 & 2019. They also won 2019 Song of the Year for their hit single, "Party in the 80's" and music video of the year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8W-IFkk-80

Sexbruise?’s shows can be described as a giant party. The tunes are memorable, the stage presence exciting, the antics unpredictable. And there are snacks. Thrown from the stage. The band has prepared pancakes on stage, brought out dancers in animal costumes, and hired fake demonstrators to protest their shows.

Maj Deeka

Four of Raleigh's most versed musicians formed Maj Deeka in early 2018 when Evan Bost asked his good friend and musical mentor Andy Blair to join the rhythm section of Matt Kirk and Ryan Masecar for a dynamic jam that traversed musical styles and emotions seamlessly. The group proved to be a natural fit, and a high-octane quartet was born.

Maj Deeka exhibits all the qualities needed in a prolific jam band: a collective ear for interesting harmony and melody, a rock-solid groove, chops on hand when the music calls for notes, and the time-earned sensibility of knowing how to take a piece of music and make it bigger than the sum of its parts.
