Description
The Taste of Beaufort Festival will host a 5K Run/Walk Saturday May 4, 2019 at 8:00 am. The Race will begin and end in Downtown Beaufort and Bay and Newcastle Streets.
Event Details
The 5K course is USATF Certified. The race will be directed by Tim Waz and the staff of Grounded Running. Race registration is open February 8, 2019 to April 21, 2019. Late registration is April 22 - 30, 2019. The cost to register during the late registration period is $35. The race is open to all runners and walkers of all abilities.
There will be a kids Fun Run at 8:45 am, following the conclusion of the main race event. The Fun run is open to kids up to 7 years old. No registration is required for the Fun Run. No winners, or prizes will be awarded for the Fun Run
Awards:
Top 3 Overall Male & Female awards and Age Groups awards top 3 Male & Female: 8-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
PACKET PICK UP
Packet pick up will take place on Friday May 3, 2019 from at Grounded Running Beaufort, (864 Parris Island Gateway, Unit B Beaufort, SC 29906. Packets can also be picked up from 7:00-7:45 am at the starting line on the morning of the race.
Race Day Registration:
Race Day registration will take place at the starting line on race day from 7:00-7:45 am only to ensure an on-time start.
Please register early! Race T-shirts are only available for the first 300 registered participants who register by April 21, 2019. There will be NO shirts available at the race site and no additional shirts will be ordered after the race.
