Description
We invite you to join us for the 2020 Old Time Summerville Christmas Celebration event on Tuesday, December 1 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. This event will be a modified version of the Town’s traditional tree lighting ceremony.
Event Details
The event will follow strict social distancing guidelines set by the South Carolina Department of Commerce. In an effort to provide a safe event that does not promote gathering we will be eliminating the ceremony and countdown of the tree lighting. This year the tree will be lit prior to the event starting. Attendees will be able to stop by anytime during the event to see the lights, enjoy the tree, and take pictures!
The South Carolina Department of Commerce requires attendees over the age of 3 to wear masks at the event and practice social distancing.
Pictures with Santa (Hutchinson Square Bandstand): 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Bring your cameras and smiles for socially distant pictures with Santa. The line will close at 7:30 p.m.
Live Window Displays (Various Streets – Map will be Provided): 5:30 – 8 p.m.
A variety of our downtown businesses will prepare gorgeous live displays in their store windows for the public to view and vote on. Below are the businesses that are currently confirmed to participate (list updated as businesses are confirmed):

The mailbox and letter writing station will be located on Short Central Ave.
