Eggs Up Grill

The First Eggs Up ~ Chris applied his vast knowledge of the restaurant business to open the first Eggs Up Grill with his wife Pat in 1986.

They were determined to do things their way and knew it was possible to build a thriving dining business while spending plenty of time with their family and friends. Their new establishment stayed open no more than eight hours a day.

During a visit to Pawleys Island, South Carolina, Chris and Pat fell in love with the climate, the people, and the Lowcountry lifestyle. Knowing their breakfast and lunch restaurant concept would work well here, they decided to move south and open Eggs Up Grill, which they still own and operate today.

The Eggs Up Philosophy ~ Over time, Chris and Pat found that the ingredients for family restaurant success included a simple menu, quality food, signature items, and a community-centered atmosphere.

Eggs Up Grill remains a rarity among franchise restaurants: the founders continue to operate the first restaurant with a hands-on approach. The couple is constantly testing and improving the menu, systems, and processes for their customers and franchisees.
