Mr. Fish is a Mom and Pop Restaurant owned by Father/Daughter team Ted and Sheina Hammerman. Ted otherwise known as "Mr. Fish" has been wheeling and dealing seafood along the Grand Strand for the better part of thirty years. After many worldly trips that included Asia, South and Central America teaching people how to produce and package seafood for export; he came back to nestle in Myrtle Beach and focus on his whole seafood operation.
Several years later, his daughter, Sheina finished her culinary degree at Johnson & Whales Charleston campus moved back home and started her catering business. While Sheina searched for a commercial kitchen to possibly use for her budding business, she and her dad came across a location on 34th Ave North the two of them decided to open it up as a small Restaurant with twenty five seats, six days a week with a room to prep for Sheina's catering events on the weekends. The Restaurant become a huge success, astonishing the father/daughter team! The need to expand was imminent within the first year, prompting the opening of Mr. Fish Seafood Market two doors down from the Restaurant.
Very soon after they took over the unit next door, expanding their seating to eighty five seats. Four years later, the need to grow again was a necessity as mostly grass roots marketing and generally word of mouth made Mr. Fish all the rage.
