Event Details
The world is blessed with some amazing, female adventurers, but recently their stories were rarely seen on the big screen with adventure film festivals dominated by male content. All that is about to change with the second season of the WOMEN'S ADVENTURE FILM TOUR touring The Americas starting this fall, through June 2019.
The Women’s Adventure Film Tour features some of the world’s most inspiring women in the adventure. This tour is a celebration of the fantastic women around us who are doing extraordinary things. The films are to be enjoyed by women and men of all ages!
This year’s tour is certainly not short of fantastic films. Join us to witness first hand the grit and determination of Australia’s best female rock climber, Monique Forestier. Follow along as we profile Nepal's first, all-female mountain bike team in Moksha, Rejoice in the spirit of youth, as the Green family adventures around the world with their 5-year-old daughter Isabelle, in Discovering Adventure. And come with us as the tour goes behind the scenes of professional surfer, Brianna Cope’s life, as she opens up about overcoming a physical disability to achieve the highest level in her profession. The Tour is currently the only place to see this amazing film, Surfing To Cope.
The Women’s Adventure Film Tour is the original women’s adventure film tour, created by a local team in Australia in early 2017. It has since gone on to screen in Hong Kong, Singapore, and the United Kingdom and continues to visit new locations.
This will be an extraordinary chance to come and experience a night of moving
