Description

WHO: Going Places has partnered with On Purpose Adventures to host our first annual Adult Field Day! WHY: What day at school did you look forward too most as a kid? What day was filled with so much fun and joy?

Event Details

FIELD DAY! We are recreating that childhood memory of joy with an adult spin to it to raise money to buy a new bike for all 425 disadvantaged kids who attend Sanders-Clyde Elementary!
HOW: We will have 2 divisions: the “competitive athletes” (higher intensity competition amongst more athletically trained teams) and the “average joe’s” (the “everyday person” teams) where teams will rotate through stations of organized games and competitions. 12 teams, max per division, 6-10 people per team.  For every $500 teams raise prior to the event, they will receive 1pt in advance towards winning.
***Teams interested in raising money to earn points can email: info@GoingPlacesNonprofit.org for information on how
PRIZES: Each division will be awarded a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prize. 1st place prize for both divisions will be vouchers for Saltwater Cycle, 2nd place is a VIP table valued OR $150 happy hour or brunch tab at Republic, 3rd place is a gift card for Nature Adventures.
GAMES: Some of the games included are: three-legged race, crab walk, spoon relay, bear crawl, gloved ball toss, wheelbarrow, tandem skis, combat archery, tug-of-war, water relay, and so much more!
COST: $400/team, 6-10 people/team. If you have a team of 10 people, that's only $40/per person! Your ticket includes your participation in the games, 1 meal choice, and 3 beers!
BENEFICIARY: The money raised from ticket sales and sponsorships will go towards buying bikes, locks, and helmets for all 425 disadvantaged kids who attend Sanders-Clyde Elementary. We will host a surprise bike reveal at the school on May 20th!
PURPOSE: Numerous organizations focus on providing the basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter, yet one thing often overlooked for children is their social-emotional need for joy. For many kids living in poverty, it is when they get home from school that the real stress begins.
These kids can live in less-than-desirable and unpredictable circumstances, and a bike provides them with a sense of freedom, escape, and a way to destress w
