Charleston County Parks and the Charleston Yoga Community present Salute the Solstice Charleston Yoga Fest at James Island County Park.
Event Details
Throughout history, solstices and equinoxes have been sacred points to honor the flow of life on earth. The Summer Solstice is a time for us to come back to balance, and thrive in the joys of life. Salute the solstice with us, and celebrate our connection and the light that is within each of us. This gathering is an opportunity to practice with teachers from Charleston's yoga studios. Experience meditation, 108 Sun Salutations, safe hands-on adjustments, live reggae music from Mystic Vibrations, and the sweetness of moving in nature. All levels and abilities are welcome!
Event Details & Registration:
- Register online for $25. Preregistration ends Wednesday, June 19. - On-site registration will be available for $30.
- Kids 12 and under are free. A registered and paid chaperone is required for participants under 15.
- Registration includes yoga class and swag bag.
- Yoga and live music begin at 6 p.m. A kids yoga class will be offered concurrently.
- No dogs allowed.
- Rain date is Thursday, June 27. No refunds will be issued.
Food Vendor Opportunities:
- 2018 attendance: 289
- Vendor Fee: $50
- Apply online. Deadline is May 10, 2019. Notifications begin May 17, 2019.
T-Shirts:
Salute the Solstice Charleston Yoga Fest t-shirts are not included with registration and may be purchased from our yoga community partners. T-shirt sales benefit Surfers Healing and We Are Family.
Live Music:
Local favorite Mystic Vibrations will provide the soundtrack for the evening with old-school roots reggae.
