Event Details
Christmas Eve has been a time set aside to join with family and friends and to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. For us, at St. Andrew’s we look forward to Christmas Eve every year as we gather together for what we call a “Candlelight Christmas Eve.”
What Can You Expect at our Candlelight Christmas Eve Service?
During our service, we will join together in singing many familiar (and perhaps some new) Christmas carols, hymns, and songs of worship. Along with singing, you will hear the Christmas Story from the Bible, and a short sermon, Then those who would like can respond by coming together at the Table for Holy Communion (The Lord’s Supper). The service will conclude with a moment of worship by candlelight before we are sent joyfully into the world, rejoicing in the Gift of Jesus Christ and in the joy of Christmas.
Who Can Come?
Our service is open to everyone. Kids and adults, neighbors and coworkers, those who have been in church for years, who have not been to church in years, or maybe those who are just exploring this special night. We invite you to join in, dress in how you feel comfortable, and experience the joy and mystery of Christmas.
We look forward to seeing you. Be sure to get there early, enter by the big white pillars in front of the church off Durant Ave. We will sing some Christmas carols prior at 5:45 PM!
